Interrupted LunchAs this copperhead suddenly becomes aware of the presence of a deer mouse nibbling at an acorn a question arises concerning the title.  Has the mouse’s lunch on the acorn been interrupted or is the mouse the interrupted lunch of the copperhead?  June 2011.  (26 in. long by 11 in. wide)  This carving was awarded first place in the Animal Group Class at the 46th Annual International Woodcarvers Congress, Maquoketa, Iowa.  It was also awarded the Bob Austin Memorial Award.
